Welcome to my crafty blog. I had meant to share this card yesterday, but spent the day in central London with my sister and just ran out of time… It is so lovely to have the Covid restrictions easing – we even went to the theatre (wearing masks, of course) for the first time two years!
This is a pretty quick and easy card – and there’s no stamping on it! I was looking through some of my old Stampin’ Up! papers and came across some sheets of the retired ‘botanical butterflies’ DSP. I’d completely forgotten I had it, but it was perfect for this card as the new challenge theme at Just Us Girls is ‘black and white’. I teamed it with the layout from Freshly Made Sketches

I started with a piece of the small black and white butterflies DSP, cut to fit a 6×6 card blank

Next was to fussy cut one of the large monochrome butterflies from a co-ordinating sheet. I brushed it with Wink of Stella to give it a shimmer (the photo doesn’t pick that up) and attached it to a white oval that I’d die cut. The topper then went on the centre of the card.

I finished with a couple of Claritystamp’s word stickers and a few black Glossies.

I’m off out again to lunch with my sister, before she heads home later. The weather forecast is looking good – hope you get to enjoy some sunshine where you are as well.
Deborah… I thought for sure you had stamped this card. Great job! Coordinating the patterned papers so well is amazing…and seamless! Love your card! Thank you so much for joining us at Just Us Girls!
