Welcome to my crafty blog and some more delicious strawberries! You’ve no doubt worked out by now that Stampin’ Up!’s ‘sweet strawberry’ set has become a firm favourite and it was an obvious choice when I saw the top row on Joanne’s grid for this week’s TicTacToe challenge. I’ve combined it with the colour scheme from Colour INKspiration, a new-to-me challenge on Facebook

I started by making an A6 card blank from SU’s basic black cardstock, and cut a piece of the basic white card which I ran through the ‘subtle’ embossing folder before attaching it to the card front. I added a strip of a black and white checked retired SU designer paper (can’t remember what this set was called, but the paper’s got large butterflies on the reverse!)

I then stamped & punched out two strawberries with their stalks, and three small flowers. The only SU red I’ve got in my collection is ‘poppy parade’, so I used that rather than the ‘cherry cobbler’ from the challenge. I stamped the strawberry stalks and flowers in black on the basic white card, as I wanted the berries to reflect the focal pop of red in the inspiration photo. I attached them all to the card front with foam pads, and added the sentiment from the ‘Art Gallery’ set.

I finished the card with three red rhinestones around the strawberries.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ve got some strawberries in the fridge, and this card has whetted my appetite so that’s my supper sorted!
SO pretty! The black and white with pop of red is gorgeous!

I love this….that Colour INkspiration challenge is a perfect matchup for your red, black and white strawberry card! Of course, anything gingham/check is a plus in my book! Thanks for playing with our Tic Tac Toe challenge and sharing this with us!

Love the clean and graphic look of your strawberries Deborah – the red really pops against the black and white and the addition of the gingham is perfect – very modern. Thanks for sharing with us over at TicTacToe this week!
