Welcome to my crafty blog. Now as all good crafters know, Christmas starts in July so I’m getting organised this year and here’s the first of my offerings! To be honest, it’s thanks to the challenge over at Addicted to CAS as their theme is …. ‘Christmas’! I decided it was perfect to combine with this week’s Paper Players – who doesn’t love stars at Christmas?

This one is nice and simple, so will be good for batch making. I started with a square of navy card and the stars from Julie Hickey’s background stencils. I just sponged WOW embossing ink through the stencil and then heat embossed the stars with ‘rose gold’ powder.

Julie’s just launched some lovely seasonal dies, so I took ‘Christmas’ and die cut the word in navy and the backing in white. All I needed to do was layer the script onto the backing piece and then attach that to the card front.

That’s it! I love a starry night sky, but not much chance of that here at the moment as we’ve got thick cloud and rain forecast for the next few days. Summer in the UK!
Such a simple design that packs a powerful punch! Love it!
