Welcome to my crafty blog and a second post for today. It’s Sunday, so time for the next one of my lookbacks through Clarity’s new design club, this time to February 2015 and the ‘time for something new’ sentiment stamp. This is a really useful sentiment – I’ve used it quite a few times over the years, it works particularly well when people are off to start a new job or are retiring.
I started with Clarity’s ‘sunshine’ stencil, which I positioned across the lower edge of a square of white card and brushed ‘squeezed lemonade’ Distress Oxide through it. I removed the stencil and added a little ‘mustard seed’ to fill in the white space in the centre of the sun.
I then stamped the sentiment using ‘watering can’ Archival ink, and highlighted the words with a yellow Perga colour pen.
I finished by adding the two small birds, again using the ‘watering can’ and ran a black Sharpie around the edge of the card. I attached it to a 6×6 card blank and it was finished.
Thanks for dropping in, I thought the sunrise was perfect for this sentiment, and I’m now off to share this over with the current challenge at Addicted to CAS
