summer pansies

Welcome to my crafty blog and another card using my new favourite stamps – the ‘pansy patch’ from Stampin’ Up! It’s been a busy day today, so just time for a quick post to share this one – I’ve gone for some of my favourite summer pansy colours as well.

I started by embossing one of SU’s ‘meadow moments’ mini embossing folders onto a piece of white card cut slightly smaller than an A6 card blank.

I then stamped and die cut three of the large pansies, using ‘dried marigold’ and ‘wilted violet’ Distress Oxides, together with one of the buds and two leaves, to form a group. I attached them to the card front using foam pads.

I finished by adding a sentiment on a die cut banner, using the ‘birthday messages’ set from Julie Hickey.

The pansies are out in my garden pots bringing lovely colour – all I have to do now is remember to keep them watered! I’m going to share this card over at a couple of current challenges. Global Design Project have got ‘growing garden’ as their theme, hence the inspiration from my pots of pansies. I also took the layout from the new sketch over at TGIF challenges
