Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back with some favourite florals again today, this time using ‘Tina’s wildflower spray’ from Claritystamp. There are several different floral sprays in this range, and they’re all lovely. I’ll be sharing this card over at a couple of this week’s blog challenges – the layout is from the design at Freshly Made Sketches and the colours fit Joanne’s challenge at The Paper Players

It won’t surprise you to know that I started by stamping the floral spray onto a piece of white card! I then coloured in the flowers and leaves using inks and a waterbrush – Artistry Inks ‘lush lilac’ and ‘wild bilberry’ for the flowers and Distress Ink ‘peeled paint’ for the leaves. Once dry, I brushed the ‘wild bilberry’ lightly across the top and right hand side of the card, and ‘peeled paint’ down the left and across the bottom, and then ran my new black Posca paint pen around the edges

The next step was to cut another square of card slightly smaller than a 6×6 card blank. I cut it on the diagonal so I had two triangles, and brushed one with the ‘wild bilberry’ and the other with the ‘peeled paint’. I then ran the black Posca pen around the edges and attached both triangles to the card blank, to fit together again as a square

All I then needed to do was attached the topper to the card blank (making sure I’d got the colours lined up with each other!)

Really pleased with how this turned out. I’d spent about an hour and a half on another design and just could not make the colours work, so gave up in despair. Once I’d settled on this stamp, the card only took me about 20 minutes to make – such is the life of a crafter!
Beautiful! Love the color palette!

This is so creative Deborah! The way you framed this in is so creative. I am going to have to give this a try! Thanks for inspiring me and for being in our gallery at the Paper Players!
