Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m still busy working back through my craft stash, and today picked the flowers from Stampin’ Up! ‘Wonderful Romance’ set which was in the catalogue a couple of years ago. This bouquet is so useful and I’ve used it quite a few times since then.
The card design is inspired by two current blog challenges. The layout and the flowers are from this week’s Fusion card challenge and I also used elements from the Tic Tac Toe challenge (I went down the left hand side of the grid with flowers, colouring ink/blending, and stencil).

I started by stamping the bouquet onto white card, and then coloured it with inks using a waterbrush. I used Artistry inks in ‘blushing rose’, ‘dry weed’ and ‘avocado’. I then fussy cut the flowers – that was a bit tricky because of the sprays of small leaves, so I left those intact and just worked round the main image.

Next was to create the frame for the card that’s in the picture from Fusion. I decided to create a brick wall effect for the flowers to sit against, and used a stencil from Claritystamp, brushing ‘slate’ Adirondack ink through it. Once done, I die cut a circle in the centre of the card before attaching it to a 5×7 card blank.

I mounted the flowers onto foam pads to attach them to the card front, and added the sentiment to the side to pick up the other element in the photo (this is another Claritystamp that I’ve had for years). Just a few gems to finish and the card was done.

Lovely card Deb. I haven’t used that stamp set for ages and your colouring is beautiful. Great take on the sketch. Thanks for joining us this forrtnight at the Fusion Card Challenge. Tristan DT.
