Day 3 of my ’12 Dies of Clarity’ personal challenge, using the Claritystamp 2020 new design club dies. These two cards use the March ‘cup n saucer’ aperture die. The set comes with 2 dies – the dresser and the teacup, and I decided to use them separately on the two cards.
I started with the kitchen dresser die, and cut it out of some wood effect paper that’s been sitting in my stash for longer than I care to remember! I attached it to a 5×5 card blank to form the base for the design

I didn’t want all the pots to look as though they were wooden, so recut the inner part of the die using some blue spotted paper

I then just snipped off the pots, etc, that I wanted to look like china, and glued them over the ones on the main die cut. I thought the middle looked a bit empty, so stamped the small leaves from ‘TIna’s Doodle Flowers’ in Archival potting soil, and die cut another one of the vases from the dresser for them to stand in. I finished with one of the stamps from the ‘Art Nouveau Sentiments’, again in Archival potting soil.

It was easier to cut and piece the little pots than I though it would be. This is definitely one I’ll do again

For the second card, I die cut the cups from some scrap green card, and then glued them onto white card before cutting them out with scissors. I turned one of the cups over, so they off set each other

I found a piece of green floral paper in my stash, and layered that up on an A6 card blank with a piece of white card. I also added a small strip of the green floral paper for the cups to sit on.

I then stamped ‘with love’ from ‘Barbara’s handwriting sentiments’ in Archival fern green, and glued the cups into place. A straightforward card to make – always useful if you’re in a hurry.

Thanks for dropping in. I am really enjoying working through all these stamps and dies – and I’m using up other things in my craft stash as well (which will make me feel better when I next order more new goodies!)
You are doing so well. Inspired to start but doing a bit of post Christmas spring cleaning first
