Friendship flower

Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card uses the ‘friendship flower’ stamp set by Julie Hickey Designs – the colours were inspired by this week’s Color Throwdown challenge https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/

I started with a small square of smooth kraft card, and stamped the large flowers across the left hand side, using a clear ink. I then heat embossed it with a cream powder. I picked up the red and burgundy colours from the challenge in the petals, water colouring them using Artistry inks in ‘blaze’ and ‘fine wine’.

I added the sentiment from the set, again stamping in clear ink and heat embossing with the cream powder, and then mounted the square onto a slightly larger piece of cream card, before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank.

Another easy card to make, but I just love the clean lines of this stamp set.
