Welcome to my crafty blog. Sadly I’ve had to make some more sympathy cards for friends who’ve lost family members in the last couple of weeks, and I turned to the ‘Forever Fern’ set from Stampin’ Up, which works for so many different occasions. The design has been inspired by two blog challenges this week (it’s not very often I manage to combine a couple of challenges into one card). I’ve taken the design from Just Add Ink (http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/) and the colours from Fab Friday (http://fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com/)
I started by embossing a piece of white card with a wood grain folder I’ve had in my stash for ages. I’m starting to do more background embossing on the white space in my cards now. I then stamped a selection of the leaves and berries in the challenge colours and die cut them, together with a plain white circle. The leaves and berries were then arranged and glued onto the card circle
I stamped the sentiment (which is from the ‘Lasting Lily’ stamp set) onto a strip of white card, offsetting it from the centre, and then cut the ends into a banner shape, before attaching it across the bottom of the bunch of leaves & berries
Another fairly straightforward card to make then, which is always useful when you need several. The colours are really autumnal, and as the sun is shining here today I’m going out to meet a friend for a walk and admire the last of the autumn leaves and shades.

So beautiful! I have a woodgrain embossing folder that I need to get out and use again. This CAS design is perfect even though the occasion isn’t.
