Another blog, another Christmas card! Thanks for taking a look – a friend asked me to make several cards to send to her friends in the USA. She wanted them to have a London theme, and I remembered the ‘City of London’ three way stamp set by Claritystamp that I bought in the summer.
I needed to keep it relatively simple, so it doesn’t cost a fortune to post. I went for a one layer card, so just worked with the third stamp from the set, which basically stamps in the background and leaves the image clear. I used Adirondack ‘denim’ ink, to give a bit of a night sky effect

I then stamped over it again using a clear ink (the stamping platform makes this so much easier) and heat embossed it with a clear sparkle powder. I have to confess a very rare event happened at this point – I was making several cards the same and I actually finished the last of a pot of powder! (A little crafter’s joke there !) I can’t remember the last time I ordered crafting supplies because I’d actually run out…

I finished by stamping the ‘merry christmas’ sentiment from Julie Hickey’s ‘Christmas frame’ stamp set. The stamps were just the right size to sit either side of the image.

It’s a relatively simple card, but that made it great for making several of them. I loved the way the London scene came out – I may be making more of these for myself!
Deborah, your creations are so pretty! I am glad you have a special craft that you love to spend time doing. Such a gift to you and then special gifts for those who receive your art!.
