Thank you heart

Hello and welcome to my little crafty blog. Today’s card will be going to thank a friend for something they did for me. One of the things that has struck me about this time of lockdown is just how people are coming together to support each other in so many ways. Some of it is about practical things, but there is also a lot of emotional and psychological support being shared. Lots of people in the crafting community have been coming together online, and I know that has been so important for many people who are living alone. This week has been mental health awareness week in the UK and the charity Mind have been encouraging people to reach out to someone who needs a friend with a positive message, or share with them your own tips for coping to make sure they don’t have to face this pandemic alone.

So I just want to say thank you to someone for their act of kindness. It’s a fairly straightforward card, using the ‘Bird Heart Sprig’ stencil from Claritystamp. I used the colours from the Fab Friday Challenge blog for inspiration

I attached the stencil to a piece of Clarity’s 7×7 stencil card using masking tape, and then brushed the colours through the stencil to create a blended effect. I used Artistry inks in ‘Lime Kiss’, ‘Fancy Fuschia’ and ‘Mellow Green’ – helpfully the pink and yellow worked together to produce the more peachy tones as well

I stamped the ‘thank you’ from the Claritystamp ‘everyday sentiments’ set, then trimmed the card down and edged it with a black Sharpie before mounting onto a 6×6 card blank

Thanks for dropping in. Don’t forget to look after yourself this week – take time to do something that makes you happy, however small.
