Hello friends and welcome to Tuesday, which means it’s time for a new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches where Amanda has given us this great sketch to play with. I decided to go floral again with Barbara’s Big Blooms Silhouette Flowers, using the A5 square set (there is a larger A4 square version), which are also a bargain to be had in this week’s Half Price Members’ Sale.

So, having cut a piece of card to fit on a 5×5 card blank, I inked up the trio of blooms using sponges to add ‘wilted violet’ and ‘mermaid lagoon’ Distress Oxides, stamping them first into the bottom left corner and then repeating it for the top right.

After covering each of the flowers with the pre-cut masks that are included in the set, I inked up the leaves with ‘evergreen bough’ (again using a sponge) and filled in around the blooms.

These are such bold colours, I left them to stand on their own without a mount or any other additions, simply finishing with the sentiment from the Big Blooms Stripey Flowers set.

Come on over to CAS Colours & Sketches and show us how you’ve used Amanda’s sketch – you can use any shape on the layout, just remember to keep it clean & simple with lots of white space. I took these gorgeous bold colours from the palette at Color Dare, with the ‘anything goes’ option at Seize the Birthday.
