Hello crafty friends. It’s an exciting time at Clarity Crafts as their half price members’ sale started last Friday – anyone who’s a member of one or more of their monthly Craft Clubs gets access, with all Clarity’s own products at half price and lots of other items reduced too! I decided to take a look back at Linda’s Florals collection, with the Amaryllis stamp (which I have to confess has not seen ink previously!)

I’ve kept it simple (no surprise there, I can’t do complicated!), cutting a piece of card to fit an A6 blank and stamping the amaryllis in black Archival ink. I covered it with the pre-cut mask that comes with the stamps (so grateful – I’d have really struggled to cut this out myself!), ran a piece of low tack tape across the card and brushed ‘spun sugar’ Distress Oxide down the left to form a background panel. I gave it a bit of added interest by stamping ‘amaryllis’ (from the set) across that, also in the ‘spun sugar’.

I shaded the amaryllis with Polychromo pencils, using ‘coral’ from the Winter set, ‘madder’ from Autumn and ‘cold grey III’ & ‘warm grey V’ from Essentials. I think pink & grey is now one of my favourite colour combinations! I added one of the KISS word stickers (this struck me as an appropriate image for a sympathy card) and popped it straight onto the A6 card blank.

As I said, this is a great time to grab Clarity products for half price if you’re in the Craft Club – and you can actually join this week and get immediate access to the sale too! This is also a last minute offering for a couple of challenges that I’ve not managed to play along with for a little while. I took the lovely pink tones from Hand Stamped Sentiments and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches (I rotated it onto it’s side). I’ll be back tomorrow with another goodie from the half price sale!

Beautiful flower for a sympathy card and I agree that pink and gray make a good combo.
