Good morning everyone! I managed to get my hands on an early set of the new Fabric Strip Card pack when I was up at Clarity Towers last week, so had time to put a piece into action ready for the official launch yesterday with Barbara & Paul. These card sheets are taken from a design Barb drew in the SHAC – you get a combination of colour ways, plus plain and patterned strips.

I made several cards with the one sheet I started with (the rest are to follow in a few days’ time) – for this one, I chopped each side off the card at different widths, cut the pieces down to approx 4″ long and rejoined them with a piece of double-sided tear-off tape on the back.

I then ran a strip of companion paper across the join, together with one of the Birthday & Christmas word stickers. I added a narrow mount of white paper, together with a companion paper layer – the little frame of white helps the fabric strips stand out from the coloured mount. I then simply attached the topper to a 6×6 card blank.

So simple to do, but I like the effect of the fabric strip borders. I’m off to share this one with a couple of blog challenges – Seize the Birthday always have an ‘anything goes’ option and Make My Monday have got a CAS theme this time round.
