Hello everyone. I’ve got another card to share using some of the recent new goodies from Clarity. I’m always saying I need to make better use of my stencil stash (I have been making an effort recently!) so I decided to put of the new large framework stencils (squares and circles) into action on this card. They made a great background for the Big Blooms – Stripey Flowers too.

I worked on a 5×5 piece of stencil card, laying the square framework stencil over it first – as the stencil is larger than the card, I taped it to a piece of copy paper that I’d sat the stencil card on. I could then brush ‘tumbled glass’ Distress Oxide through it, before swapping to the circle stencil and repeating the process with ‘antique linen’ Oxide.

I stamped one of the Big Blooms onto the card and then shaded it with Polychromo pencils, using ‘dark cadmium yellow’ and ‘cadmium orange’ for the flower, and ‘earth green yellowish’ and ‘permanent green olive’ for the leaves.

I added two of the Art Deco sentiment stamps, edged the topper with a black Sharpie and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

This may not have lots of white space in it, but it still makes my CAS heart sing! I’m going to share it with a couple of blog challenges for the ‘anything goes’ options at Allsorts and We Love Stamping.

A gorgeous card – and the use of the squares and circles is ingenious xx
