Hello there. I’ve got another look at the new Square Tree Aperture stamps today, this time with the Travel Gently and All We Have Is Now sets and using two squares to create a scene.

Hvaing cut a piece of card to fit on a 5×7 card blank, I sponged ‘broken china’, ‘kitsch flamingo’ & ‘shaded lilac’ Distress Oxides onto the larger of the two stamps in the ‘Travel Gently’ set, gave it a good spritz with water and planted it on the lefthand side of the card. I repeated the process with the smaller stamp from ‘All We Have Is Now’, trying to keep the colours in line with those one the first one.

Next was to add an inner frame on the topper using a rectangle embedder and a ball tool. I included a recap on using the embedders in yesterday’s post, but there was an additional step on this one, as the rectangle embedder wasn’t quite long enough. It’s easy to lengthen though – I lined it up first over the images with the top, bottom and left side in the correct position (as you can see in the photo), then flipped it over to emboss around the three sides, being careful not to go right to the end on the top and bottom. I could then move the embedder along to line up the right hand side, turn over to the rear again and finish the embossing.

To finish, I added the sentiment from All We Have Is Now in ‘broken china’, together with the couple sat on the bench from the Family Miniatures set. After adding a mount of Waimea Falls companion paper, I attached the whole thing to the 5×7 card blank.

I love the way these stamps work together to mix & match – I even managed to join the tree branches (more by luck than judgement, I must admit!) This little scene works for the new ‘countryscape’ theme at Cardz4Galz and I’m also sharing it with Allsorts Challenge for their ‘anything goes’ option.
