Good morning crafty friends! I’ve got another early post to share with you today, made with the new Square Tree Aperture stamps that Barbara is launching on Clarity Social TV this afternoon. This card uses the Sending You Love set, which is a beautiful image of what I think might be a willow tree. I should apologise for what seems like a strange time to share an autumn design, but the launch of these stamps got delayed from last October after my samples had been prepped! It’s great to now be able to share them with you all.

I started by brayering ‘carved pumpkin’ and ‘pumice stone’ Distress Oxides onto the larger of the two stamps in the set and stamped it onto a 3.5″ of stencil card. Brayering the inks gives such a lovely blended effect.

It’s not very seasonal right now, but I added the toadstool and a couple of pumpkins from the Autumn Build a Wreath set underneath the tree, using ‘carved pumpkin’ for the obvious stamps and ‘barn door’ & ‘walnut stain’ for the toadstool. I then used a small square embedder and an embossing tool to create a frame around the image.

I finished with one of the Clarity Street sentiments in ‘potting soil’ Archival, ran a brown Sharpie around the topper edges and popped it onto a 6×6 card blank.

These new tree images are really delightful and it’s a lovely change to have the image as an aperture and the stamp to create the background – perfect for softer designs. I do seem to be heading through the seasons in reverse at the moment, after Christmas yesterday and then autumn today, but I’ll pull it back on track tomorrow (possibly…!) Don’t miss Barbara on Clarity’s YouTube channel at 2pm today for more inspiration with these fab stamps.

Thank you. We made our samples back in October and then the release date was postponed
