Hello crafty friends! Apologies for my absence yesterday – it was a long day at work followed by an evening out and I’d run out of steam by the time I got home! Anyway, I’m back in crafting action today with these fab new Mini Christmas Jumpers stamps – and the even better news is that Clarity are donating HALF the proceeds from every sale of these (once the VAT is taken off) to go to Save the Children in honour of last week’s National Christmas Jumper Day fundraising event! I was straight in with my order last Friday when these landed on the website and today was my first opportunity to play with them. You won’t be surprised to see that I kept it very CAS with just a little heat embossing and shading…

Starting with a 5×5 kraft card blank, I stamped one of the jumper outlines with Versamark clear ink and heat embossed it with WOW’s super fine bright white powder. The detail on these jumper patterns is fabulous and picks up the embossing beautifully.

It looked a bit flat on the card front and I wanted to add some shading, so first needed to make myself a mask (the set doesn’t come with any pre-cut ones). I took a small piece of Clarity’s blank mask material, stamped the image onto a scrap piece of copy paper (you can’t stamp on the mask material as it’s a reusable plastic) and laid the mask material over it. You can see the stamped image through the mask material and it’s an easy process to fussy cut it – that way, the piece of carrier sheet remains intact to store the mask for future use as well. Having done that, I laid the mask over the embossed image and gently sponged some ‘walnut stain’ Distress Oxide around it. I then sharpened the shading by outlining the image with a brown Polychromo pencil (I went with ‘nougat’ from the Autumn set).

The final step was to add the Christmas sentiment from the KISS Sentiment Rounds set, which I also heat embossed with the white.

These really are brilliant little stamps and a great way to support Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper event at the same time. I’ve also incorporated a few challenges into this design, starting with 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, who’ve asked us to use the colours from a previous 2025 challenge (I went with kraft & white). That also reflects the tones in the inspiration pic at Peace on Earth and Addicted to CAS have gone with Christmas as their theme. Finally, Allsorts are looking for ‘new’ as their theme and that’s what these stamps are! If that doesn’t fit, then they always have the option of ‘anything goes’!
