Last minute Christmas cards!

Hello everyone – it’s Sunday evening and we’re headed for the last full week before the big day. Somehow I’ve wound up short of Christmas cards (I always forget to add my work colleagues into the overall numbers and just count up those to be posted!) so I whipped up a quick batch this afternoon that I can hand out this week. The new Autumn & Winter Landscape Backdrop prints tags were perfect for quick & easy cards, paired with Barb’s Build a Landscape Favourites stamps.

I took the smaller tags from the collection and stamped the row of trees in ‘watering can’ Archival, with two of the single spruce trees at the front, one in ‘watering can’ and the other in black.

I added the little flock of sheep from the stamp set, dotting them with a fine white Posca pen to add their fleeces. I then used a sponge and a torn piece of copy paper to ground all the trees with ‘shadow grey’ Archival, using a grey Polychromo pencil for shadows under the sheep.

I then simply added one of the I Am Essential – Christmas sentiments, a mount of Antarctica companion paper and a 5×5 card blank.

I’ve picked up a few of the shades from the gorgeous palette at Sunday Stamps with this topper.

And here are the rest of the batch I made. The toppers make it so easy when using a single layout, but it means none of them are identical.

  1. Beautiful set of card!! Thanks for playing along with our “Midnight Moves” color challenge over at Sunday Stamps. You rocked our color palette with this wintery pasture scene! Deb Horst, DT #SSC375
