for Nick & Amani

Hello friends. I’m dropping in with a quick post today to share the card I made for my son, Nick and his new wife, Amani, who got married today! Clarity’s Open Alphabet masks were perfect for making a personalised card for them, in conjunction with the Summer Build a Wreath stamps, the palette from Creative Colour Challenges and the ‘anything goes’ option at Stencil Fun.

So, here’s a quick run down on the process. I took a piece of stencil card and lined the masks up so that they overlapped. I then started outlining the letters with one of the leafy stamps and ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide. I gently wiped the masks clean, which helpfully added a bit more shading around the edges of the masks.

I then filled it out a bit more with a couple of the flower stamps in ‘villainous potion’ and ‘picked raspberry’. It does look a bit scruffy at this point with ink smeared over the masks, but wait for the reveal…!

I first removed the N mask, so that I could complete the top corner of the A, which had been sat underneath it. I cut the topper to size with the Hearts doodle frame-it panel die and added a mount of Indian Summer companion paper. I used the largest square embedder to emboss a frame on the front of a 7×7 card blank and them simply sat the topper inside it.

We’ve had a wonderful day of celebration today with their small family wedding, topped off a fabulous afternoon tea at The Savoy Hotel in central London. Now it’s time to put my feet up!
