Noel framer

Hello crafty friends. I’ve been busy this afternoon prepping for my shows on Clarity Social TV tomorrow at 10am & 2pm – and there are lots of goodies up my sleeve! I’ve got some fab new little Christmas trees drawn by Sam Crowe on the morning show, but I want to first tempt you in with a bit more hot foiling and the Noel Framer stamp set for a quick & easy card.

I started with one of the Autumn/Winter Skies toppers (this one doesn’t have a moon image on it) and hot foiled it in gold. The foil coats all the parts of the topper that are laser printed and, as all Clarity’s printed products are done on in-house laser printing machines, that gives a huge amount of scope for using the foil. It’s also translucent, so you don’t lose the image or colour underneath. Anyway, having done that, I stamped the Noel Framer onto the topper with black Archival ink. (You can also stamp the image first and foil over it – it will still stick to the laser printing underneath).

I then set to building my little scene with the additional stamps from the set. The small boy is being well behaved and busily decorating the tree, but his sister has gone a bit rogue and climbed up onto the top to add another star into the sky! I gave her a few more to aim at with the small star stamps from the Build a Landscape – Christmas set, which I’ve also got on tomorrow afternoon’s show. I attached it to a 6×6 card blank, then used a guillotine to cut it level with the edge of the topper.

There seems to have been a distinct lack of parental supervision with this little pair and their Christmas decorating, don’t you think, and I’m really not sure how she managed to get up there in the first place?! Without wishing to encourage others, I’m going to share this in the gallery at The Holly & Ivy challenge
