Hello friends. I’ve just popped in quickly after a busy day in Kent setting up for the Clarity Christmas Open Days which start tomorrow, with another of the cards I’ll be demoing for anyone who decides to stop by my workstation! I’m putting a second new stamp set into action, in addition to the Winter Wonderland ones I used yesterday – this card uses the Woodland Scene set.

It’s another pretty simple design (do I know any other kind…?), this time with the background doing lots of the work! I cut one of the Antarctica designer card pieces down to a 5×5 card square and then stamped the large birch tree trunks down with the side.

I added the stag from the set, again with black Archival ink, then sponged a a little ink across torn copy paper to give him ground to stand on. I ran a black Sharpie around the card edges, then used a large square embedder to emboss a frame onto the front of a 7×7 card blank before attaching the topper to the card.

Nothing more to it! I love the way the pale centre on the paper makes it look like there is light streaming through the trees. As this designer paper has done all the heavy lifting, it only feels right to share it in the gallery at Love Those Pretty Papers.
