Madonna window stamp

Hello crafty friends. I’m still in major Christmas card production mode and took some time at the weekend to make a batch with one of Clarity’s Christmas Windows stamps. It gave me good excuse to also use up some of my offcuts of Antarctica designer paper stored in my folder. I simply stamped the image onto the designer paper, then shaded the Madonna image with Pergaliner pencils, smoothing it out with Dorso oil on a blending nib. I added grey shading into the window frame with a polychromo pencil and then cut each image out.

Next was to cut some toppers from white card using one of the Film Strip doodle frame-it panel dies, glue the windows into place and add a mount of co-ordinating companion paper.

I popped a few stars around the image courtesy of the Wish Upon a Star stamp set and ‘broken china’ Distress Oxide, then attached the topper to a 5×5 card blank. The finishing touch was to add one of the I Am Essential – Christmas sentiments.

I love the look of these windows from using the designer paper – what do you think? I’m going to share this little one with a couple of Christmas challenges at The Holly & Ivy and Stamping Ssensations.
