in the forest

Hello crafty friends. I’m getting busy with my prep for Clarity’s Open Days in Kent in two weeks’ time and one of the goodies I’ll get to play with for two whole days is the new Winter Wonderland stamp set – such a treat! These stamps are refreshed designs from ages back and there’s so much potential in them…

I kept it very simple for this card, working straight onto an A6 card blank. I took the large forest background aperture, brayered ‘broken china’ and ‘lucky clover’ Distress Oxides onto the stamp and planted it on the centre of the card front. I then used a rectangle embedder to emboss a frame around the image – it was easier to it this way round as I could sit the plastic embedder neatly over the stamped image before flipping to the inside of the card front to emboss it with a #2 ball tool.

I then simply stamped the stag in ‘watering can’ Archival ink, used a torn piece of copy paper to sponge the ink onto the ground below him and finished with one of the I Am Essential – Christmas sentiments.

I’m so looking forward to the Open Days – it’s always so great to reconnect with Clarity friends and make new ones and, of course, hang out with the rest of the Clarity team. Tickets are still available if you’re free!
