Hello crafty friends. I’m back with another of my DT samples for Clarity’s recent release of Tina’s Flowers Sampler stamp set, this time combining two of the images to build a panel. First, though, I want to say ‘hi’ to the new friends who have started following this little blog recently – great to have you along! I’ve pulled in the tones from Creative Colour Challenges (more or less!) plus the ‘blooms’ aspect of Triple B‘s challenge.

This is another one layer card, this time using an A6 card blank. I gave myself a pencil guideline mark the centre of the card and to give me a baseline for the images and stamped the central one first using ‘watering can’ Archival ink. I then added the floral square either side to get them equally spaced and rotating them to break up the pattern.

And then I spent a happy few minutes shading the images with my Pergaliner pencils, just using the blues and greens, which really brought the images to life. Finally, I drew them together by adding a frame using a micron pen and a ruler.

I’ll be honest, I was not enamoured of this card when I first started it and left it overnight after it had been stamped. Adding the colour made a world of difference, though, as did the final narrow frame. Just goes to show, you shouldn’t judge your creations until they’re finished!
