Hello everyone and welcome to Monday’s blog! I’ve just done a bit of simple die cutting for this card – Clarity’s leafy swirl aperture die is one of my favourite images and works so well with some of the bolder designer papers.

I went with one of the Amazonia papers for this card, which reflected the tones in this week’s Color Throwdown palette and incorporates Love Those Pretty Papers. The die perfectly fits the ‘leaves’ theme at Just Us Girls as well.

I cut a piece of the Amazonia paper to for on a 6×6 card blank, popped some Stick It adhesive sheet on the back and cut the leafy swirl die into the centre. It was then easy to pop the paper onto the front of the card blank.

I wanted to frame it, so added one of the Film Strip doodle frame-it panel dies in white – I used two dies for this, with the size I wanted and then the next one down so I just had the frame (and a panel to use for a future card). Having attached it to the card, I added one of the Birthday word stickers that I’d mounted on a scrap of the Amazonia paper, and it was finished!

Dies are a great way to create quick cards, especially when they’re as pretty as this one!

The frame contains those leaves in a beautiful way, Deborah, and that patterned paper is fabulous. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.

Thanks. The dies are a great way to use the papers that are too bold for backgrounds
