Hello again. It’s a busy day for my challenge design teams and I’m back with the last of my sampels from Friday’s shows for our new challenge at Love to Craft. The theme, as always, is ‘anything goes’ and I used Linda’s All You Need Is Tea stamps with the perfect background of a dried teabag!

Dried (and emptied) teabags are great backgrounds for stamping on. I keep a little box of them in my stash – not being a tea drinker, I make a batch each time my supplies need replenishing. I used Pritt glue stick to adhere the teabag to one of Clarity’s small squares of stencil card, then stamped the teacup, sentiment and little swirly line onto it using black Archival ink.

I shaded the images with blue and white Pergaliner pencils – it took a couple of coats with the white to bring it out. I wanted to add more of a frame to the image, so used one of the nested square aperture doodle frame-it dies to cut around the edge – this one fitted the mall square card exactly! All I then needed to do was emboss a frame in the centre of a 6×6 card blank with a square embedder and then sit the topper within it.

This would work equally well with coffee bags & the coffee themed stamps in the collection – another one to try. Until then why not come on over to Love to Craft and share your creations – it’s always great to see so many people contribute to our gallery.

Such a fun card! I’m not a tea drinker either so we never have tea on hand but this technique is on my To-Do list!
