the best therapist

Hello crafty friends and welcome to Saturday’s post – another one of my samples that I hadn’t yet shared, this time using Millie the Dog stamps which Clarity produce for Janice Phillips’ Timestamp Creations. I’ve kept it very simple on this card thanks to one of the notecards from Sam’s Things to Do pack, which does most of the work!

I’ve pulled a couple of challenges together on this one as well, starting with brown, black, animals & animal themed sentiment from Festive Friday‘s inspo list for World Pet Memorial Day. I’ve also picked up the ‘furry friends’ theme from Stamping Sensations, a new-to-me challenge.

So, here’s the lowdown on the simple process for this! As I said above, I took one of the notecards from Sam’s papers and used the reverse side as my topper, stamping two of the images of Millie (Janice’s dog) in black Archival ink.

I added the sentiment across the centre, again with black Archival (it’s such a brilliant phrase!) and popped the notecard onto a black mount. I then used a nested rectangle embedder to create a frame on the front of a 6×6 card blank and sat the topper within it.

These images are taken from Janice’s brilliant photographs of her little dog and I think they’re just fantastic (which is high praise indeed from a cat person!)
