OK, so I blame Barbara Gray – as you know, she had the fabulous build a wreath collection on HobbyMaker TV this week and now I can’t stop playing with them!! I’ve put the spring set into action again today for a card that will go into my wedding/engagement stash (It’s that time of year!)

I’ve managed to incorporate four challenges into this little creation, starting with the colours from The Paper Players. I took the left hand column of stencil, any colour & flower from TicTacToe‘s grid, plus stencil and floral from Time Out‘s ‘pick 2’ list, finishing with the spring flowers theme from Double D.

I cut a piece of stencil card to 6×6, attached Clarity’s heart shape stencil to it and brushed ‘salvaged patina’ Distress Oxide through it, which gave me the outline to build my wreath around.

I then set about building my wreath with the stamps, starting with a couple of leafy sprays around the edge of the stencil in ‘mowed lawn’ Distress Oxide, which outlined the shape. I added yellow daisies with ‘mustard seed’ Distress Ink, another of the flowers (don’t know what type they are!) in ‘shaded lilac’ and finally the little cow parsley sprays again in the ‘mowed lawn’. I’m a bit cross as I slightly overcooked it at the bottom of the heart – there’s a daisy each side that I should probably have left out!

I popped one of the stamps from the fairly new Quotes set 7 stamps (it’s first inking!) into the centre, followed by a mount of Antarctica companion paper and attached the topper to a 7×7 card blank.

I am going to try and put these stamps away now and start working with something diferent (after a final offering tomorrow!)

Way to go on making it fit 4 challenges. It is beautiful and I can see why you keep playing with the set.
