bijou montage landscape

Hello crafty friends and welcome to a beautiful sunny Monday! I’ve got a lovely spring scene to share with you today, using one of the new bijou layout montage stamps from Clarity – did you catch Barbara on YouTube yesterday demonstrating with these? They’re perfect for creating little landscapes, so I went with a few of the wee folk stamps for mine – this pair are out for a walk in the spring sunshine, which I’m sharing with Four Seasons challenge

Today’s starting point was one of my inky mop-up backgrounds in blue & yellow on a small square of Clarity’s stencil card – I simply stamped one of the montage layouts onto it in black Versafine Clair ink. I could then use low tack tape to mask off the central area and add in my sister walking her dog (!), using a scrap pf torn paper and a spot-on sponge with ink to create the ground shadow.

I added another dog and some of the wee foliage into the other boxes, together with one of the KISS word stickers. Having edged the topper with a black Sharpie, I mounted it onto a piece of Waimea Falls companion paper and then onto a 6×6 card blank – it will come as no surprise to see that I also embossed a frame onto the card blank first, using one of Clarity’s square embedders (I think these are just about my favourite crafting product!)

I hope you’ve had the chance to enjoy some sunshine wherever you are today! I’ll be back tomorrow with another creation.
