Hello crafty friends. I’ve got a final look for now at the last of my design team samples for the new Japanese Cranes stamps from Clarity Crafts, this time just using one of the small silhouette stamps from the set. I’m also sharing this with AAA Cards as another offering for their fun challenge of a silhouette plus one other from their grid, so I’ve gone for a geometric shape with the moon.

I started with a square of kraft card that I cut one of the doodle aperture die into to give me a frame. I then used a square embedder to emboss an inner frame within the die cut, before sponging ‘picket fence’ Distress Ink through the outer part of Clarity’s largest moon mask. Once the ink had dried, I stamped the small silhouette crane across it three time using black Versafine Clair ink.

I added one of the sentiments from the set, then popped a mount of white paper behind the topper so the diecut pattern showed up, before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank.

I do really like the combination of black & white ink on kraft card.
