floral crescent

Hello crafty friends – today’s post features one of Clarity’s ‘floral crescent‘ stamp sets, partners to the panel I used on yesterday’s card. These are also two-way overlay stamps, and I’ve actually made use of the infill today. I’ve combined the sketch from The Paper Players with the palette from Creative Colour for a card with a spring feel by creating a little landscape within the stamped circle. The greens and spring vibe also pick up on the moodboard at Just Us Girls and the theme at Make My Monday.

I trimmed a piece of card to 12.5cm square and started by stamping the outline image in ‘watering can’ Archival ink. I then grabbed the ‘hills & clouds’ masks from the Build-a-Scene set to create my landscape – I sponged ‘lucky clover’ Distress Oxide across the hills mask (I went rogue & didn’t mask the outer part of the circle, trusting on luck!), then sponged ‘bundled sage’ for the clouds. My sponges got a lot of use on this one, as I then sponged both inks onto the infill stamp, blending them in together before adding it to the image.

I adde the little trio of birds from the ‘Just Woodland & Birds’ stamp set, again in the ‘wateing can Archival before mounting the topper on a layer of grey card and adding to to a 6×6 card blank. The final touch was one of the Pinky Gray greetings stickers, which I egded with a grey Sharpie before attaching it.

We’ve had a few sunny days recently, and everywhere is now greening up and beginning to blossom, so all’s well!
