Hello crafty friends. I’ve got another of the demos that I’d planned for Friday’s Clarity Social TV shows, but ran out of time to work through. It was inspired by one of the cards made by my design team buddy Sonia, using the ‘joy framer‘ stamp set – I loved all the blue tones.

It gave me the opportunity to use another of my inky mop-up backgrounds, that had light blue ink on it. I cut it down to fit on a 6×6 card blank and stamped the ‘joy framer’ in the centre with black Versafine Clair ink. I then stamped around the edges of the card using the leafy spray from the set and ‘bluebird’ Archival ink.

These sets very helpfully come with pre-cut masks for the central O, so I used the outer part so that I could create a scene in the middle of the letter. I used a couple of the ‘south downs‘ landscape masks and lightly sponged more of the ‘bluebird’ across them, then stamped the little sprig of flowers and shaded them with a couple of blue Pergaliner pencils. I decided it needed a little bit of a contrast somewhere, so added a butterfly from the ‘butterflies & birds miniatures‘ in ‘prickly pear’ Archival.

And that was basically it! I added a mount of black card and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

This is such a pretty design, so my thanks once again to Sonia for inspiring me!
