my crafting resolution for As You See It challenge

Hello again! I’m back with a second card today, this time for our new challenge at As You See It. This time, Heather has challenged us to share our crafting resolutions for t

he year ahead. Now, if you’ve been reading this little blog over the last few weeks, then you’ll already know that I’m aiming to make & share one Christmas card each week, so here’s my 4th one for 2025. Now my choice of stamp set may seem a little left field but, as with this morning’s card, I’m showcasing Clarity‘s ‘leafy crescent moon’ on their YouTube this afternoon so decided to make use of some of the additional elements in that set.

I’ve also added in a stag to the scene to pick up the inspiration from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and The Card Concept, as well as the ‘anything goes’ theme at The Holly and Ivy Challenge

Starting with a square of stencil card, I brushed ‘picket fence’ Distress Ink across Clarity’s ‘mountains’ make. I stamped the deer from the ‘woodland miniatures’ set in ‘potting soil’ Archival Ink, then added a few of the little leafy spray from the crescent moon stamps in the foreground. I next stamped the crescent moon & star (again ffrom the ‘leafy crescent moon) in Versamark clear ink and heat embossed them with WOW’s superfine white powder.

I then simply added a white mount cut with a ‘film strip’ doodle frame-it panel die and a Pinky Gray word sticker before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank.

So that’s another Christmas card on the pile ready for December – and extra mileage from my ‘crescent moon’ stamps!

  1. A great resolution! I like the Kraft/white/brown colour combination – very stylish. Love that border – it’s like a needlewoven embroidery edging. 🙂
