simple thank you

Hello there! I’ve got a quick & simple card to share with you today, using some more of the mop-up pieces from my rather large stash that I picked out when I was looking for yesterday’s background. The ‘bijou ribbon sentiment’ stamp set from Clarity Crafts was perfect for turning these pieces into clean & simple thank you cards, which I’m going to share with Addicted to Stamps & More.

There were three of these 3.5inch squares of stencil card in my folder. I think I’d mopped up ‘peacock feathers’ Distress Oxide from my blending mat onto them, having given the ink a good spritz of water when I’d changed my mind about which colour I’d wanted for a project.

I really liked the way these backgrounds had turned out and decided they only needed a sentiment on them so I kept the inky pattern in a starring role. I do love teal & gold, so picked out the ‘thank you’ set from the bijou ribbon sentiments, stamped it with Versamark clear ink and heat embossed with WOW’s gold powder.

I then simply edged the topper with a gold Posca pen and sat it within a frame on a 5×5 card blank that I’d embossed with a square embedder.

I have to say, I think these look pretty elegant!
