lizzy rockery

Hello friends. I was inspired to get Clarity Crafts‘ ‘lizzy & rockery‘ stamp set out this afternooon while watching Barbara demonstrate with it this afternoon on Clarity Social TV. All the ‘floral walls’ sets in the collection are great for making CAS cards and I kept this one very simple using the sketch from TGIF Challenges and the colours from Colorful Options.

So, here’s quick run through on my process. I took one of Clarity’s 3.5inch squares of stencil card and stamped the rockery across the bottom with black Archival ink, sitting slightly over the lower edge. I covered it with the pre-cut mask that comes with the stamps and then added the floral stamp above it, so that the lizzies and friends look like they’re growing out of the top of the rockery.

I shaded the rockery with grey Polychromo pencils, then used a selection of Pergaliners to colour the flowers and leaves before trimming the card down to a rectangle.

I took a 5×5 card blank and attached a strip of striped BOW-WOB paper across it (great way to use an off-cut). Having edged the topper with a black Sharpie, I added it to the card front, finishing with a Pinky Gray word sticker.

One of the (many) brilliant thigns about Clarity are the pre-cut reusable masks that come with lots of their stamp set – it makes life so much easier!
