Hello there! Well, ClarityCrafts‘ bumper sale of back issues of their Craft Club products is still going strong, so I thought we’d look at one of the stamp sets today – ‘Happy New Year’ #194 from December 2023. These little glasses of bubbly are so useful for lots of occasions, not just New Year and they’re an absolute steal at just £2! I’ve taken the ‘silver & gold’ theme from Inspired By plus CAS on Friday‘s New Year challenge.

So, staying in my ‘clean & simple’ happy lane, I started by stamping the glasses with Versamark clear ink and heat embossed them with WOW’s superfine silver powder. Taking the Merry Christmas & Happy New Year aperture die, I cut it into an offcut of gold card using the inner die to cut the centre and a nested circle die for the outer edge. I trimmed it straight against the letters and attached it to the card above the glasses. Keeping with the colour theme, I shaded in the glasses with a gold metallic gel pen, then added fizzy bubbles above them with a silver fine Posca pen. Finally, I shaded below the glasses with a gold Polychromo pencil.

Having done all that, I simply added a mount of gold card and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I need a few more New Year cards to get in the post as I didn’t get Christmas cards sent to everyone I should have, so this one will be put to good use!
