Hello everyone! Another late post from me today – life is just so busy in the run-up to Christmas. ClarityCrafts have been celebrating their Year of the Alphabet in 2024 and are rounding it off with a sale on all their alphabet sets (what’s not to like…?!) I’ve kicked off today with their ‘wood block alphabet‘ A5 dies, which were perfect for personalising cards, together with a piece of BOW-WOB collage paper all pulled together with the sketch at Inspire.Create.

I found a piece of the BOB-WOB paper in my folder that I’d coloured using a gel press plate in a previous session and decided it was ideal. I cut a piece of black card to fit on a 7×7 card blank, glued the BOW-WOB paper onto it and added a strip of Antarctica companion paper. I was happy to find the match, as I’m not sure what colour ink I’d used one the paper – it might be ‘broken china’ or ‘peacock feathers’…

I cut a rectangle topper from white card with one of Clarity’s nested dies (you get a nicer embossed edge rather than just using a paper trimmer), then added the wood block letters that I’d cut from the Antarctica paper, followed by one of the ‘occasions – happy birthday’ sentiments.

The final touch was the dachshund from the ‘wee dogs‘ set as this card is heading to my father-in-law for his 99th birthday next week. His eyesight is deteriorating, so I’ve kept the card uncluttered – the graphic style of the die cut letters was perfect.
