my favourite floral

Hello crafty friends. I’ve forsaken all the new stamps from ClarityCrafts and gone back to one of my all-time favourites today – Tina’s floral spray. I haven’t had it out for a while, but I just love this image which totally fitted the bill at AAA Birthday. I utilised the colours from Color Throwdown, the layout from Freshly Made Sketches ( which I rotated) and the ‘joy’ theme from Just Us Girls

I started with a 5×5 piece of stencil card and stamped the floral spray with black Archival ink. I pulled out my clouds mask (another favourite) and lightly brushed ‘stormy sky’ Distress Oxide across it into the background. I opted not to use the infill stamps that come in the set and instead turned to my Pergaliner pencils, picking up the tones from CTD’s palette.

I trimmed the edges off, glued a strip of black card down the left side and attached it to a 5×5 card blank, finishing with a couple of KISS word stickers that I’d edged with a black Sharpie.

Oh it does feel good to dip back into my stash again – but I’ll be back tomorrow with a peek at some more new goodies on their way from Clarity.
