Clarity Craft Club gingerbread house

Hello there and welcome to Sunday’s blog. I decided it was time I played with the ‘gingerbread house’ that is the October stamp from Clarity‘s Craft Club. It’s so cute and just perfect for a Christmas card (which is approaching fast…!) I took the layout from Atlantic Hearts and the palette from Color Throwdown to put this little scene together

I had a topper already sitting in my stash that I’d previously cut from kraft card using one of the ‘dots’ nested square doodle frame-it panel dies. I stamped the gingerbread house onto it using Versamark clear ink and heat embossed it with WOW’s vanilla powder. I then repeat stamped one of the snowflakes from the ‘SHAC bauble – Merry Christmas’ set into the sky, drew in a few more snow lines with a Versamark pen and heat embossed them all with the vanilla powder.

I used a light brown Pergaliner pencil to highlight the house, with an orange one to colour the detailing and a cream Polychromo pencil for a snowy roof. After stamping one of the ‘occasions sentiments’ in ‘potting soil’ Archival ink, I added a narrow mount of cream card and attached it to a 5×5 kraft card blank.

Did you know about Clarity’s Craft Clubs? Once you join (you can pay monthly or annually) you get a brand new stamp (or stencil if you join that club) with a project sheet every month, plus a discount on their website and access to members only sales twice a year – what’s not to like?

  1. I love this, the wintery scene and gingerbread house are great, so fun! Thanks for playing along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (AHSC).
