silhouette Christmas tree

Hello crafty friends. I’ve got a peek at some more new goodies from ClarityCrafts that Barbara is going to be launching on their YouTube channel at 10am & 2pm tomorrow (25 Oct). It’s the final installment of their silhouette stamps collection (plus some fab new embedders that I can’t wait to get my hands on!) This last group are Christmas themed silhouette framers and I started with the gorgeous tree silhouette and some simple brayering

The starting point was to brayer ‘chipped sapphire’ and ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide onto the tree silhouette and stamp it onto one of Clarity’s 3.5 inch square stencil cards. I then cut a larger card square at 4 inches and brayered the same inks onto it for the mount.

I used a small square embedder to emboss a frame around the stamped image, then attached it to the brayered mount – reversing the colours to be the opposite way to the tree. I used a larger embedder for a frame on a 6×6 card blank and attached the topper to it, finishing with a word sticker.

Nice and simple – I love the effects you can get just with a couple of ink colours and a stamp. I’ll be back tomorrow with another look at this new set, and don’t forget to join Barbara on YouTube at 10 & 2 (or watch it later) – she’ll have a whole pile of inspiration!
