Toadstools at Sparkles Challenge

Here I am back with another of the new Sprite Poppets stamps from ClarityCrafts – it’s Mandy, who you’ve met before, but this time she’s mini sized! Thankfully she’s still perched on her toadstool, which makes her perfect for our new theme of ‘toadstools or mushrooms’ at Sparkles Challenges and she’s also off to make an appearance in the gallery at Seize the Birthday.

I was inspired by the layout of one of Jen Nelson’s cards (aka The Tiny Blue Butterfly) – I just love her CAS style! I started by stamping Mandy in the corner of a piece of card that I’d cut to fit on a 5×5 card blank, then shaded her in with my trusty Pergaliner pencils.

I used a micron pen to doodle a frame on the card, then attached it to a 5×5 kraft card blank. I stamped one of the ‘bijou retro sentiments’ onto a strip of kraft card, cut the end into a banner shape and popped it into place.

We’d love to see your fungi themed creations in the Sparkles gallery! And I’ll leave you with a final thought – why can’t you live in a toadstool? Obviously because there’s not ‘mushroom’ inside!!

  5. Your doodled frame is great as it anchors the rest beautifully. The fairy is so cute she brings a smile and as always your colouring is excellent
