Hello again. I’m back with a second post thanks to our new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches – as it’s the second one in the month, we have a sketch for you to play with design by Laura. I’ve kept it very simple (even by my standards!) and decided it was a good opportunity to use up some of those smaller offcuts of ClarityCrafts designer paper!

I found a piece of Waimea Falls paper and trimmed a strip from it, mounting it on another bit of the co-ordinating companion paper. I glued it at a diagonal onto a small square of stencil card – I left the strip longer than the card, then used scissors to trim it flush with the edge.

The strip of companion paper had come from a piece that was (for once!) large enough to make a mount for the topper. I then used one of my favourite embedders to emboss a frame on the front of a 5×5 card blank and attached the topper in the centre, finishing with one of the Occasions sentiments in ‘watering can Archival ink.

Thank you cards are always so useful to have in my stash and, in line with the best disclaimers, no new pieces of paper were harmed during the making of this card!
