floral celebrations

Hello everyone. I’ve had one of those days where I thought I had plenty of time to do everything I wanted to, but the day’s just run away from me! Anyway, here I am now with a creative offering for you, using ClarityCrafts‘ KISS ‘celebrate your day flowers’ set and the butterflies from the ‘butterfly wreath’. I brought them together with the colours from Color Dare, the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments and the floral theme from Inspire.Create.

The first step was to stamp the flowers and two butterflies onto a rectangle of white card. I used ‘shadow grey’ Archival for that, but now wish I’d used a darker ink like ‘watering can. Anyway, once stamped, I coloured the images with Pergaliner pencils and filled in the butterflies’ bodies with a micron pen.

I lightly brushed ‘twisted citron’ Distress Oxide through the ‘trellis’ stencil onto opposite corners of the card, then ran a black Sharpie around the edges and mounted it on a layer of Amazonia companion paper. I used a rectangle embedder to create a frame on the front of a 6×6 card blank and attached the topper into it, finishing with the sentiment from the ‘celebrate your day flowers’.

I love the colours on these flowers – they look like passion flowers.
