freedom bird

Welcome to my crafty blog and a little more inspiration to share with you from last weekend’s ClarityCrafts TV shows. It’s another take on the ‘wild frame’ stamp set – and this one’s got a very different vibe from Sunday’s! I just felt that the Antarctica designer card was the perfect background for these eagles heading off into the skies (and another one that evokes memories of my recent trip to western Canada!) I’m also going to share this with Triple B for the ‘birds’ aspect of their challenge and with Word Power, a new-to-me that challenge that looks for sentiments to be the main focus of the card.

So, I took a piece of the Antarctica 5×7 designer card and cut it down into a square. I then simply stamped the poem and two birds into the card using black Archival ink.

I added a mount and frame cut from black card with one of the ‘lattice’ doodle frame-it panel dies, embossed a frame on the front of a 7×7 card blank using an embedder and glued the two together.

And that’s all there is to it – you know I’d don’t like anything too complicated! I love the effect of the sky from the designer card.
