Hello everyone! Well we’re halfway to the weekend – this is a busy week, with lots of routine work stuff starting up again and the schools heading back for the new term, but I figured there’s still time to dream of time out in the countryside with the ‘seashore scene’ three-way overlay stamps from ClarityCrafts. This one works beautifully with the current challenge at Color Dare, adding in the team alongside brown & white.

I started by cutting a piece of the ‘peppermint’ infusion papers to fit a 6×6 card blank, stamping the outline of image 2 into the centre using ‘potting soil’ Archival ink. I then took a Faber Castell eraser pencil to the bird, to lift the colour out of the paper (this technique never ceases to amaze me!) It’s the only way to get a soft white onto a coloured paper – a white pencil wouldn’t show up on the background.

As I’d taken the colour out of the bird, I didn’t want to use the infill stamp for the rest of the image, so instead used a couple of brown pencils for the tree and ground and blended the turquoise and dark green pencils to add the teal in around the frame and on the plants.

I added a narrow mount of white copy paper, followed by a co-ordinating piece of Rainbow River companion paper, then attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank. The final touch came from a Pinky Gray greetings sticker.

Thanks for dropping in – I’ll be back with another creation tomorrow

So pretty, Deborah. I didn’t know the eraser trick worked on papers. Love using it on parchment xoxo

I’ve only recently discovered it! It doesn’t work on all papers, but is fab on the infusion ones xx
