It’s day 2 of the ClarityCrafts birthday weekend, so I’m back with another card using one of their Clarity Classics sets – this time it’s the ‘daydreamer’ set, which will be on Barbara’s show at 11am. I’ve used the colours from Creative Colour Challenges with a slightly loose interpretation of the layout at Sketch Saturday

I used the ‘bijou square backdrop’ stamp, which I sponged with ‘saltwater taffy’ and ‘lucky clover’ Distress Oxides. My original plan was to stamp it directly onto a kraft card blank, but the colours didn’t really show up very well so I went with a small square card topper instead after spritzing the stamp with water. I then added the bullrushes from the set with ‘potting soil’ Archival ink, basically flipping the sketch to put them on the right of the backdrop square.

I added the sentiment along the bottom of the square, again with the ‘potting soil’, then attached the topper to a 5×5 kraft card blank, sitting it within a frame that I’d embossed with a small square embedder.

Thanks for dropping in. The celebrations are continuing and I’ll be back later with a taster for some new goodies launching tomorrow…
