floral love

Hello crafty friends. I’ve got a quick notecard to share with you today, using the ‘just flowers’ stamps and ‘thick & thin stripes’ stencil from ClarityCrafts. I’ve pulled a few challenges into this one, with the sketch from Atlantic Hearts, a selection of the colours from Color Dare and the inspiration photo from Just Add Ink.

I started with a square of Clarity’s stencil card and stamped the ‘just flowers’ bouquet onto it in black Archival ink. I cut a mask for it so I could cover it over, then brushed ‘blueprint sketch’ and ‘wilted violet’ across part of the striped stencil.

I then simply shaded the flowers with Pergaliner pencils and added a sentiment from the ‘bijou retro sentiments’ set. A narrow mount of Antarctica paper set it off nicely on a 5×5 card blank.

It’s been a lovely sunny day here again, but I’ve been busy trying to sort out more of the hoard in my craft room in the vain hope that I’ll then be able to find things when I want them…!
