Well the sunshine is back here today, so I thought I’d share some summery flowers with you, using another of the new silhouette images from ClarityCrafts – these daisies are in the ‘just flowers silhouette frames’ set. I’ve teamed them up with a piece of Clarity’s Waimea Falls designer paper, which picks up the two greens, light blue and yellow from Color Dare‘s grid, plus the ‘summertime’ option from Love those pretty papers

So, starting with the Waimea Falls paper (cut to fit on a 6×6 card), I stamped the daisies silhouette in the centre using ‘bluebird’ Archival ink. I used a Pergaliner pencil to add a little shading to the petals and leaves so they didn’t look so flat, then stamped the sentiment in the ‘bluebird’. It’s actually a two-line one so I covered the lower half with masking tape before inking it to stamp at the top, then reversed the process to stamp the second line below the daisies. I used a ruler and black Sharpie to edge the paper and added a narrow white mount.

I took another piece of the Waimea Falls paper and cut it with a nested square ‘hearts’ doodle frame-it panel die and mounted the daisies onto it. I’d used a square embedder to emboss a frame on the front of a 6×6 card blank (no surprise there!), so simply attached the topper within it.

I’ve had a very busy weekend, so taking today to just enjoy the sunshine (and maybe a little crafting!)
